Following Jeux de mains, the first collaboration between Cécile Poimboeuf-Koizumi — publisher, curator and co-founder of Chose Commune — and Stephen Ellcock —  curator, writer, researcher, and online collector of images — this second volume focuses on the motif of the eye in art. Present across all cultures and eras, the eye fascinates with its rich symbolism: spiritual, political, intimate, or mysterious. From Antiquity to contemporary art, over a hundred images, selected intuitively and without chronological order, form this visual constellation. This book celebrates the diversity of artistic perspectives on this small organ that has, over time, become a powerful universal symbol.
