– Home and studio — together or apart?
One and the same thing!
– Do you have any daily rituals?
Strong tea, walking, cuddling my cat.
– What is the first art book you remember?
If children’s books are also art, then one of them has to be Tranquila Trampeltreu by Michael Ende; an illustrated story about the arduous journey of a turtle crossing the desert for love.
– What is your studio/creative soundtrack?
A couple of constants are Anouar Brahem, Tinariwen, LA Lom, Dune Castle…
– What is the favorite thing you have in your studio?
Late-morning light falling through the bay windows in summer, touching everything.
– Did you always want to be an artist?
To share stories, that’s what I knew I wanted to do.
– What does a free day look like?
Being with people I love.
