It’s still time to wish you a very Happy New Year — hoping this year will give us more opportunities to meet again, at festivals and book fairs.
2022 is yet another exciting year for us at Chose Commune. Japanese photography is still at the heart of our programme, with books by Seiichi Furuya (First Trip to Bologna 1978 / Last Trip to Venice 1985) and Moe Suzuki (SOKOHI) to be published respectively in March and June. We also continue to develop our growing interest in practices other than photography — something we started in 2019 with works on paper and more recently with a book presenting the work of ceramicist Shun Kadohashi. Forthcoming in May, Book of stacks / Stacks of books gathers sculptural works by Jared Bark, best known for his performances executed in photobooths between 1969 and 1976.
We look forward to sharing these new books with you.
Thank you for your support,
Chose Commune — Cécile Poimboeuf-Koizumi
