Dear all,
We are delighted to announce the release of Alexandra Duprez’s first monograph.
Duprez’s work spills over boundaries—off the canvas, across the book covers she envelops, onto repurposed cardboard, and beyond what we can fully grasp of her practice.
Her body of work is remarkably diverse, yet bound by a secret, almost silent thread. Within a world entirely her own, she conjures a realm where dogs, horses, and snakes coexist with humans. Deconstructed and ever in flux—evoked through legs, hands, or eyes—these beings appear as enigmatic points of consciousness.
This inaugural monograph brings together more than one hundred works, carefully selected from her prolific output. It opens with a text by Sophie Kaplan, director of La Criée Contemporary Art Center (Rennes), and includes a conversation between Alexandra Duprez and Cécile Poimbœuf-Koizumi (Chose Commune), accompanied by studio photographs taken in Douarnenez.
